Covid rehabilitation

Having been infected with the coronavirus can have a major impact on your daily life. Some people experience long-term symptoms after being infected with the coronavirus. This is also known as 'Long COVID' or 'Post COVID'. 

 

The most common symptoms are:

  • Extreme fatigue
  • Reduced condition
  • Persistent muscle pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Confusion
  • Loss of concentration

The first treatment consists of an intake interview and physical tests. Together with a specialized “COVID-19 rehabilitation” physiotherapist, a treatment plan is drawn up in which your personal goals take precedence. A course of physiotherapy involves, among other things, finding a new balance between load and capacity. The treatment preferably takes place at our practice. Here, we have access to a well-equipped exercise room to work on strength and conditioning.

 

Is Covid rehabilitation covered by my health insurer? 

Covid rehabilitation is no longer reimbursed under the basic insurance. If you have coverage for physiotherapy in your supplementary insurance, your health insurer will reimburse the treatments.
