Practice Information

The Paramedical Headache Treatment Center has been operating in Hoofddorp since 2021 as a center for the diagnosis and treatment of headache symptoms in adolescents and adults.

The Paramedical Headache Treatment Center is located in the Floriande Health Center at Waddenweg 1 in Hoofddorp.

At the paramedical treatment center, several physical therapists specializing in headaches, migraines, and dizziness work together with primary care physicians to provide care to patients within the primary care system.

Many patients can be effectively treated in primary care (by a family doctor and/or physical therapist). As a result, referral to a specialist at the hospital is often unnecessary.
The paramedical treatment center collaborates with neurologists at the Velzen Medical Clinic and the Spaarne Gasthuis.

We place great importance on maintaining good communication with referring physicians and the doctors involved, and we are always open to discussion. We therefore prefer to receive a referral before starting an examination, including the patient’s medical history and a specific clinical question, so that we can provide targeted care.

In addition, the treatment center is involved in scientific research and the training of physical therapists.

The Headache Center also plays an active role inHoofdpijn-netwerk.nl, a network for physical therapists who specialize in the treatment of headaches and focus on optimizing headache care in primary care.
