Quit smoking

Quitting smoking always has a positive effect on health, but this is very difficult for most people. It is often a long search for the right tools, and it is a struggle to stick with it.

Approximately 28% of all Dutch people smoke. Smoking is very harmful to health. Unfortunately, our bodies quickly become accustomed to a certain amount of nicotine. This leads to a physical addiction. Often, people are used to smoking at specific times of the day. Think of a cigarette after dinner, during a break, or at a party. As a result, you constantly feel the urge to smoke. This is a psychological addiction. Addiction is the main reason why people continue to smoke.

If you smoke at least ten cigarettes a day, or smoke your first cigarette within half an hour of waking up, there is a good chance that you are addicted.

You would actually like to quit smoking, but taking on the battle with cigarettes is not easy. You can receive guidance for this. This can be done through advice or a motivational conversation. However, that is not always sufficient. An intensive support program can then be started, possibly supported by nicotine replacement therapy or medication. Completely tailored to your needs, just the way you want it. To overcome the cigarette.
You do not need a referral from your GP for this.
