The Paramedical Treatment Center for Headache has been active in Hoofddorp since 2021 as a center for the diagnosis and treatment of headache complaints in youth and adults.
The Paramedical Headache Treatment Center is located in the Floriande Health Center, Waddenweg 1 in Hoofddorp.
At the paramedical treatment center, multiple physiotherapists specializing in headaches, migraines, and dizziness collaborate with general practitioners to help the patient within primary care.
Many patients can be effectively treated in primary care (by the general practitioner and/or physiotherapist). As a result, referral to a specialist in the hospital is often unnecessary.
The paramedical treatment center collaborates with neurologists at Medische Kliniek Velzen and the Spaarne Gasthuis.
We attach great importance to good contact with referring physicians and involved doctors and are always open to consultation. Therefore, we prefer to receive a referral including the medical history and a question before the start of an examination, so that we can provide targeted assistance to the patient.
In addition, the treatment center is involved in scientific research and the training of physiotherapists.
The Headache Center also plays an active role within Hoofdpijn-netwerk.nl, a network for physiotherapists specializing in the treatment of headaches who focus on optimizing headache care in primary care.
