Email consultations

You can easily ask a medical question via Mijngezondheid.net (MGN) or the Medgemak app. This is called an email consultation. We will answer your question in writing without you having to come to the practice.

For which questions is an email consultation suitable?

Regarding skin problems, it is important that you note:

Make sure the doctor has enough information to answer your question!

What is not suitable for an email consultation:

Emergency complaints. Do you need urgent medical assistance? Always contact us by telephone or call 112 in life-threatening situations.

Symptoms that may require a physical examination (e.g., abdominal pain or shortness of breath). In such cases, it is better to make an appointment at the practice.

Psychological complaints that require explanation or support: a conversation is better suited for this.

The email consultation is expressly not intended for questions about making appointments or questions about a child under 16 years of age, about the use of the Medgemak app, or repeat prescriptions for medicines prescribed by the specialist if you are still under their treatment.*

Response period

We do our best to answer your question as quickly as possible. You will receive a response to your email consultation within 3 working days. During busy periods, you may receive a notification that the response time will be longer.

If your GP is absent for an extended period, the email consultation will be answered by a colleague.

You can request repeat medication from the specialist directly from the specialist: ask for an annual prescription during your outpatient visit or via their patient portal, e.g. via MijnSpaarnegasthuis.
